Photo Friday . . . on Saturday

This is a picture from a trip to Atlanta to see Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, the Yarn Harlot. Here she's taking a picture of me and my sad little first sock. This picture ended up on her blog! Click the link and look for me. Anyway, she's coming back tomorrow and there's nine of us from Columbus going. There will be pictures, maybe not tomorrow night, but they will come. Hang in there.

Totally cool! I wish that I could have gone. It appears that I have returned from Mexico with one of the local bugs -- not the kind that simply gives one the sniffles, I'm afraid.

In my spare time -- which I now have a TON of -- I've been knitting. Yippee!! So there is some good coming out of this nasty sickness.

I sure miss knitting circle.

Blessings!

Hi Holly! Here's a really cool site which helps in finding local produce (and shows you places to go where they can tell you how to find local produce):

I'll post a link on my site that's easy to spot. I'd also be delighted to take you shopping with me some time and we have fresh eggs that you can have (which come from free range, organic, anti-biotic chickens -- which you are welcome to meet!).

Blessings!

Holly,

Do you teach beginning knitting? I live in Columbus, Georgia and am interested in learning to knit. I have a book and have viewed videos on the internet but am still having a difficult time catching on. Thanks.

Hi, Judy. You can learn to knit by coming to our knitting group on Monday nights at Panera Bread on Whitesville Road in the Shoppes at Bradley Park. We're there from 7pm until they run us out - usually around 9pm. Just bring all your stuff and we'll help you. If you want a more formal class, a couple of the girls teach those one-on-one. But you can hang with us for free on Monday and see it that works for you. I hope you join us.
